Kerretta – Vilayer, nominated for award! February 13, 2010

Holy. Are we excited about this!! We’re seriously bringing out the glowsticks, kransky’s and the
top-shelf for this one. Kerretta’s album Vilayer has been nominated for the Taite Music prize!! Woohoo!!

Here’s the pun-free goss kids:

“The Taite Music Prize has been established to champion the finest release by a
New Zealand artist or group, specifically focusing on the artistic merit and creative excellence of one album released in the previous calendar year. The prize purpose is to recognize
outstanding creativity for an entire collection of music contained on one
album.
We’re going to have a new stock arriving of Kerretta’s gatefold Vilayer vinyl too after running out of the first shipment!

To celebrate celebrating, Kerretta will be playing some US dates in March and April too thanks to their new best friends Flower Booking (www.flowerbooking.com) who have been kind enough to book these hair farmers a North American tour, hopefully post the East Coast’s snowmageddon. Between I Spy in the band van, endorsing Slayer, James Duncan’s new record, Bill Bryson’s audio book of a Short History Of Nearly Everything and Learning French CD’s, Kerretta will begin their tour in
Austin, Texas on the 16 March, before ending their West Coast dates on the 30 March. Their East Coast leg begins April 1st, and they’ll make their way through a lot of New York, Chicago, IL. Lawrence, KS. and Denver, CO. before making their way to New Zealand.

Midium Status: Poolside.
